Stacey Marcell founded Northeast Horticultural Services on a single conviction: that trees and landscapes deserve to be cared for by people who understand them as living systems, not as line items on a quote.
“We work with mother nature, not against her. Organic isn’t just a label — it’s a whole set of principles.”
That philosophy has shaped two decades of work across Fairfield County's most exacting properties, from Westport waterfront estates to working farms in Redding. Today Stacey leads a team that includes Dan Dalton, an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, and landscape designer Josh Jimenez. Fewer than two percent of ISA Certified Arborists hold the Board Certified Master Arborist credential, and it is the qualification that separates a crew that can take a tree down from a firm that can tell you whether it should come down at all.

Certified, Not Just Insured
Connecticut requires an arborist license to advertise tree work, and plenty of companies operate under someone else's. We hold CT Arborist License #S-4454, every arborist on our team holds active ISA certification, and the firm is accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association, a standard very few Connecticut firms meet.
Organic-First, and Accredited For It
We are NOFA-accredited Organic Land Care professionals, which almost no tree service in Fairfield County can say. Synthetic chemicals are a tool of last resort, not first reach, because your family, your pets and the pollinators all share that lawn.
Built for the Long Relationship
Most of our work comes from clients we have served for a decade or more. A tree we plant this year is a tree we still care for in 2036, and knowing that changes how we do the work today.
